‘Miscast’ Steve McQueen movie inspired George Lucas to create iconic character

STEVE MCQUEEN wowed viewers in 1966 with his performance of Nevada Smith, a revenge-driven cowboy with nothing to lose. This character and backstory inspired some of the thinking behind one of George Lucas, the Star Wars creator’s, future film franchises.
