JOHNNY DEPP almost missed out on playing Tim Burton’s Edward Scissorhands because the director was in talks with a legendary actor for the role. But eventually, the Top Gun star frustrated the scriptwriters by asking questions about the character’s toilet habits before becoming “unwilling” to join the film. Depp got the role, after beating four Hollywood A-listers and the King of Pop, but a “terrifying” incident on set convinced him he was about to be fired.
