Eiffel review: ‘perfectly watchable but it’s hard to believe’
WE ARE told that Eiffel is loosely inspired by true events. Let’s just say that if the iconic French landmark were as loosely constructed as this film, it would no longer be standing. Martin Bourboulon’s undeniably handsome period drama never lets the petty details of truth stand in the way of a sweeping romantic weepie.
