TOM HARDY’s big break in America came after beating Armie Hammer and Jeremy Renner to the title lead in the Oscar-winning Mad Max: Fury Road. During the auditions, the next James Bond favourite shared “the charisma of animals” with original star Mel Gibson, according to director George Miller.
