Sean Connery’s King Richard in Robin Hood Prince of Thieves almost played by comedy star

SEAN CONNERY, the original James Bond, had an uncredited cameo as King Richard at the end of Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, but originally a certain Monty Python star was to be cast in the role.
